Severe injuries account for 80 per cent of claim costs within Workers Compensation Board (WCB) of Manitoba’s rate model. To help reduce the number of incidents in Manitoba AND bring down financial costs to YOUR business, these webinars will help you better understand the severe injuries in your industry and how they affect your bottom line through Workers Compensation Board of Manitoba (WCB) assessment rates. There will be four sessions, each with a specific focus on four different industry classifications codes in construction. Choose the session that is right for you:

Effective Communication – A Critical Component of a Safe Workplace

Communicating safety and health information effectively is critical to preventing incidents on the worksite. But how can you be sure your message is getting across? This session will discuss how effective communication in the workplace can support a safe work environment. You will learn effective communication models and approaches that can support your employees at all levels to contribute successfully to a culture of safety. This webinar will also cover the importance and use of verbal and non- verbal communications, as well as active listening. There will be a question-and-answer session at the end of the webinar so you can ask specific questions you might have.
