Lockout/Tagout - Train the Trainer

If machinery could unexpectedly activate or if the unexpected release of an energy source could cause injury, the energy source must be isolated and controlled. This is done through a lockout/tagout procedure.

Lockout/tagout is one of three safe work procedures that Workplace Safety Legislation requires an employer to develop.

Lockout/tagout systems are not only used when dealing with electricity, but also for hydraulic, pneumatic, steam and other systems. Employee training in your company’s lockout/tagout system is essential.

Upon the successful completion of both parts of the program, students will be qualified to develop a company approved lockout/tagout procedure and provide a training program for their coworkers.

Length of Course:
One day of training (8 hours)
A certificate will be issued upon successful completion of the course.
