WHMIS
- Train the Trainer
Workplace Hazardous Materials Information
Systems (WHMIS) is a national communication system dealing with controlled
products. This includes three main components: labels, material safety
data sheets (MSDS), and worker education. The system is an excellent
process in providing employers and workers with information about
the controlled products they work with on the job.
The WHMIS Train
the Trainer section provides participants with information on the
requirements of the WHMIS legislation and the guidelines for developing
a site-specific training program for their individual companies.
Upon the successful completion of both
parts of the Train the Trainer program, students will be qualified
to conduct a generic WHMIS training program and will have the knowledge
to develop a basic site-specific program.
Participants will earn
a WHMIS certificate of training and will receive a credit towards
their COR™ & Small Employer COR™ Certificate program educational
requirements.
Length of Course:
One day of training (8 hours)
A certificate will be issued upon successful completion of
the course.
