How to Request COR Equivalency
Non-Manitoba Companies

A company who has attained COR Certification in another province/territory and does not have a permanent office in Manitoba is eligible to apply for equivalency.

The following is the procedure and required documentation to be submitted in requesting COR Equivalency from CSAM:

  • Letter requesting COR equivalency in Manitoba
  • Copy of their most current provincial/territorial COR certificate
  • Completion and submission of documentation to verify compliance with the Manitoba Supplement of the COR National Audit Instrument.

Once the above material is received and successfully reviewed by CSAM, the company will be issued the following:

  • Letter of COR™ equivalency for Manitoba
  • Manitoba COR Certificate and Equivalency Number
  • Explanation of CSAM programming in Manitoba
  • Copy of the provincial Workplace Safety and Health Act and Regulations
  • Training calendars for the CSAM
  • Contact telephone numbers for the Workplace Safety and Health Division and Workers Compensation Board

The Manitoba COR certificate will be issued with the same expiration date of your provincial/territorial COR certificate (up to a maximum of 12 months).  As in your home jurisdiction, verification of your program must be completed annually.

When a company has allowed their Manitoba COR certificate to expire, it will be the responsibility of the company to re-apply.

The above process was established for provincial/territorial COR equivalency only. All information submitted to CSAM will be reviewed by CSAM personnel only and kept in strict confidence.
