With businesses beginning to reopen across the province, the Construction Safety Association of Manitoba (CSAM) is returning to job sites and classroom training — effective May 11.
With our clients top of mind, and based on advice from governments and their public health agencies regarding the presence and risk of COVID-19, CSAM prepared a series of protocols for scenarios in our offices, our classrooms, and on job sites:
- CSAM Office Procedures – Best Practices
- Construction Education Centre – Best Practices
- CSAM Site Visits – Best Practices
While more people will be returning to work, it’s still important to remember the pandemic is not over and employers should take all precautionary measures to ensure the safety of workers. Workers should continue to physically distance where possible and practice good personal hygiene. It’s important to post signage at job sites or workplaces to highlight these protocols and to ensure customers do not enter a business if they are experiencing COVID-like symptoms.
CSAM has a variety of FREE COVID-19 posters and signs available for YOUR workplace, including our new construction site signs. The Winnipeg Construction Association also has locally produced hand sanitizer available for purchase.
CSAM will continue to monitor the evolving situation with COVID-19 in our province and the guidelines being recommended from the Government of Manitoba. Moving forward, we intend to be flexible and remain agile in response to changes as the situation develops.
