SAFE on Site

Your Construction Safety Association of Manitoba is pleased to announce the launch of the construction industry initiative SAFE on Site. 

SAFE on Site is a joint partnership with SAFE Work, Manitoba Heavy Construction – Safety Health and Environment Program and your Construction Safety Association of Manitoba.   The goal of SAFE on Site is to provide contractors with safety awareness and to actively assist with the understanding and implementation of a positive safety culture.

SAFE on Site will provide safety information and resources to contractors directly on site and provide contractors with the opportunity to develop and implement an effective safety program.

CSAM’s role in SAFE on Site:

With a dedicated person assigned to SAFE on Site, your Construction Safety Association of Manitoba will coordinate and administer the SAFE on Site program for the industrial, commercial, institutional and residential sectors. 

Safety personnel will come directly to your worksite and assist you with the identification; communication and control of hazards: 

DISCUSS:

• Safety information and resources available to contractors
• Emergency Planning
• Personal Protective Equipment
• Safety Health and Environment education and training
• Legislation and your roles and responsibilities

ASSIST:

• General Site Hazards
• Implementation of Safety Program
• First aid and emergency preparedness
• Resolving safety concerns

ADMINISTER:

• Gather information on specific industry concerns
• Collect feedback on SAFE on Site initiative
• Assess industry needs regarding education and training
• Develop information, resources and training to meet the needs of industry
