The Construction Safety Association of Manitoba (CSAM) is pleased to present Environmental Safety in Construction - a one-day training course that’s structured around growing environmental safety issues in and solutions for the construction industry.
This course has been developed in conjunction with the Manitoba Environmental Industries Association, supported by CSAM’s Advisory and Divisional Committees, and structured by industry experts that represent different areas of environmental safety in construction. Course content includes hazardous materials handling, storage and disposal; WDG (recycled, landfilled, asbestos, C&D waste); Petroleum storage; when to report a spill (and to who); TDG regulations; contaminated sites legislation; and industrial hygiene.
The Environmental Safety in Construction course will take place on Friday, June 16 at the Construction Safety Association of Manitoba’s office in Winnipeg and Monday, June 19 at the Construction Safety Association of Manitoba’s office in Brandon.
The course will take place from 8:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. and the registration fee is $150.

The Construction Safety Association of Manitoba’s Environmental Safety in Construction course is applicable for the Canada-Manitoba Job Grant - meaning that employers are eligible to apply for a grant to assist with training costs.
