W210 Act, Section 4(2) – Further duties of Employer
W210 Act, Section 4.1 – Duties of Supervisors
A SUPERVISOR is a person who has charge of a workplace or authority over a worker
The employer must ensure that all of their workers are supervised by a person who:

Is competent due to knowledge, training, or experience;
-
Can ensure that work is performed in a safe manner, and;
-
Is familiar with the Act and Regulations that apply to their workplace.
Supervisors are required to:
-
Take all reasonable precautions to protect employees under their supervision;
-
Ensure workers under their supervision work in a safe manner and comply with the Act and Regulations;
-
Ensure employees use all devices and wear all clothing / PPE designated by the employer or specified in the Act and Regulation, and;
-
Inform all employees under their supervision of any foreseeable safety and health risks in their work area.
