Congratulations to Adrian Smith of Priority Restoration on winning the 2020 Construction Safety Award of Merit!
This award, presented by the Construction Safety Association of Manitoba (CSAM) annually at The Safetys awards gala (and this year, virtually via social media due to COVID-19), serves to recognize an individual’s dedication and outstanding contribution to health and safety in the construction industry of Manitoba.
Smith is an Emergency Field Technician at Priority Restoration, where he has worked over 10 years. During this 10-year career he has been integral in creating a culture of workplace safety. From completing paperwork to site inspections to training, Smith takes the safety of himself, fellow employees, clients, and sub-trades seriously.
Smith is an advocate for safety at every jobsite and takes great pride in developing and delivering training and incorporating safety into all aspects of the job.
Smith has served several terms on Priority Restoration’s health and safety committee and always comes to meetings prepared with a list of concerns, achievements, and solutions. He has also assisted with the development of safe work practices and procedures. Smith has completed all of Priority Restoration’s in-house training and many external training courses to become very knowledgeable in asbestos-containing material (ACM) identification and removal.
