SECOR™ Meets SAFE Work Certified

The Construction Safety Association of Manitoba is an official partner of SAFE Work Manitoba and its SAFE Work Certified program.

SAFE Work Certified was created to help reduce workplace injuries and promote a safety culture in Manitoba. SAFE Work Manitoba’s partnered safety associations will be offering industry-based health and safety programs and certification that meets this standard.

We’re proud to announce that the Manitoba COR™/SECOR™ Certification Program meets the requirements of SAFE Work Manitoba’s SAFE Work Certified.

SECOR-logo

SECOR™ provides industry companies with fewer than 10 employees with an effective safety and health management system to reduce incidents, accidents and injuries along with their associated human and financial costs. SECOR™ offers a straightforward approach to safety that’s designed to provide contractors with practical solutions for a safer workplace.

Small employers often use SECOR™ as a stepping-stone to achieving COR™.  The main benefit of SECOR is that companies are provided with a generic safety manual and full electronic materials to customize policies – removing the large administrative concern of most small employers.

When you register into the SECOR™ Certification program, your company will receive a registration number and a USB with tools to help you create a personalized, customizable company safety manual that demonstrates your company’s commitment to safety.

The steps to achieving SECOR™ Certification include:
  1. Completion of three training modules:

    Principles of Safety Management

Course Length: One days of training (8 hours)
    Prerequisites: None
    Cost: Members – $200, Associate Members – $300, Non-Industry – $525

The Principles of Safety Management training course teaches how to create a company safety manual and provide practical guidelines to keep your safety program running smooth and effective.

Further Information on Principles of Safety Management

Every company should have a safety program to meet legal requirements, satisfy moral obligations and earn financial benefits. In the Principles of Safety Management course, you’ll learn a systematic, organized approach to reducing the human and financial costs of jobsite incidents.

Principles of Safety Management course content revolves around the actual integration of policies, practices and procedures you need to manage safety within your companies—consistent with the nationally recognized standards of COR™ Certification.
