Look up... Waaaaayyyy up! CSAM’s virtual toolbox series continues with a discussion about fall protection.
Whether a worker is doing commercial or residential construction, the rules of legislation in Part 14 of the Workplace Safety and Health Regulation apply to each workplace. This virtual toolbox will demonstrate not only the different types of fall protection available for use, such as guardrails, bumplines, and safety nets, but will also demonstrate how to properly inspect and fit your harness.
According to Manitoban legislation, working at height is a critical task, therefore extra precautions must be taken to protect workers from a fall hazard. With over 500 reported injuries in 2019 and 2020 combined, this toolbox should assist in the efforts to properly train workers to complete their tasks at height.
