Your Construction Safety Association of Manitoba is pleased to introduce a professional development organization for Brandon and Westman area: Westman Association of Safety Professionals (W.A.S.P.).
MISSION STATEMENT
“The Westman Association of Safety
Professionals is a forum providing leadership
in the promotion of safety, health
and environmental issues in
our communities and workplaces.”
The organization provides an excellent forum for attendees to exchange information, increase awareness of safety and safety-related issues and as well give attendees the opportunity to gather useful information from varying guest speakers. A special guest speaker will provide an informational presentation at each meeting.
Meetings are held the third Wednesday of every month during the term of September to May of each year. The format for each meeting revolves around a presentation of a safety topic and networking opportunities:
5:45 – 6:00 pm
6:00 – 6:45 pm
6:45 – 7:30
pm
7:30 – 8:00
pm
- Open forum and Round Table discussions
- *Cost of catered meal $20.00
- No charge for Guest speaker presentation and Open Forum Discussion
- Informal networking with other safety professionals
- Adjournment
The next scheduled meeting is Wednesday, January 18th, 2012 at 6:00 p.m. Meetings are held at the St. John Ambulance facility, 1570 – 18th Street, Brandon (2nd Floor, Brandon Shoppers Mall, South Entrance). A reminder and Informational notice will be forwarded to previous attendees prior to each meeting date.
