Registration is now open for North America’s largest construction safety conference!
The Construction Safety Association of Manitoba (CSAM) is pleased to announce that CSAM: THE Safety Conference will return to the RBC Convention Centre Winnipeg on February 14 and 15, 2023 for two days of customized training materials, networking opportunities, and hands-on demonstrations.
This year’s training selection includes 27 workshops, with a range of workplace safety courses that meet NCSO®/NHSA™ training requirements and the future Manitoba Safety and Health Training Program Standard.
“Every course helps participants build stronger, safer jobsites with practical skills they can apply directly to their tasks,” says Conference Co-Chair and Construction Safety Association of Manitoba (CSAM) Executive Director Sean Scott.
With over 2,500 training certificates issued, and more than 1,500 registrants, 100 exhibitors, 65 corporate sponsors, and 50 instructors from across North America, CSAM: THE Safety Conference lives up to its name as Canada’s most diversified construction safety conference.
This year, CSAM: THE Safety Conference is also offering a suite of environmental safety courses not typically offered during the year, including Asbestos Awareness, Silica Awareness, and H2S Alive.
“Hazards like asbestos and silica aren't always obvious or visible — but they can have severe outcomes if not detected,” says Scott. “That means contractors aren’t always aware of how to identify and assess these hazards. Our environmental safety courses inform participants on what they need to know about each hazard, and what legislation requires of them.”
