After great consideration of Manitoba Public Health orders and guidance regarding COVID-19, the Westman Safety Conference organizing committee has made the decision to postpone the 2021 Westman Safety Conference.
The conference will return in 2022 to once again provide western Manitoba with the quality safety training, information, and resources they’ve come to expect each year.
“This conference delivers great value and information to western Manitobans to create safer workplaces each year,” says Sean Scott, Construction Safety Association of Manitoba (CSAM) Executive Director and conference Chair. “However, we feel this year’s cancellation is currently the best choice for the safety and health of all our attendees.”
Conference host organizations, CSAM and Manitoba Heavy Construction Association (MHCA) WORKSAFELY™, continue to offer all of our programs, services, tools, and training through these challenging times and remain vigilant in providing the very best safety and health information to our clients. This includes live, virtual online training for many of our popular classroom courses, as well as private group training options.
Please visit the CSAM website, constructionsafety.ca, or the MHCA WORKSAFELY™ website, mhcaworksafely.ca, to find the latest on our activities in the Westman area, including in-person and online training dates.
We would also encourage all of our Westman Safety Conference participants and anyone in the Westman area to consider participation in the monthly meetings of the Westman Association of Safety Professionals (WASP).
If you have any further questions, please feel free to contact CSAM's Westman office at 204-728-3456.
