UPDATE: In light of rising COVID-19 case numbers and increased public health restrictions, the Construction Safety Association of Manitoba (CSAM) is once again taking proactive measures to ensure we are operating in the safest and most responsible manner. With this in mind, CSAM will be postponing all in-person northern training courses until further notice.
The Construction Safety Association of Manitoba is helping northern Manitoban companies prepare for construction’s busiest season with spring training dates in The Pas and Thompson.
All courses, including flagperson and fall protection, will be offered in-person in The Pas and Thompson.
Participants can choose from the following courses:
- Flagperson (full day)
- Fall Protection (full day)
- WHMIS 2015 (half day)
- Safety Representative & Committee Training (half day)
- Hazard Identification & Risk Control (half day)
As the training will be held in-person, CSAM will be adhering to — and exceeding — all government guidelines to allow for proper physical distancing and enhanced sanitization and hygiene requirements. This includes the requirement that all participants must wear a mask. Our Construction Education Centre – Best Practices document outlines further details of the procedures we follow for our in-class training.
Half-day courses cost $30 per course, and full-day courses cost $60 per course. Lunch is provided for those participating in full-day or both morning and afternoon half-day courses.
