Presentation description: SAFE Work Manitoba has made revisions to the Guide for Asbestos Management that was originally published in June of 2017. The revised guideline dated November 2020 contains subtle yet significant changes that may not be easily identified. This presentation provides an overview of the Guide for Asbestos Management with highlights to the key changes that have been incorporated into the document.

- The Importance of a Return to Work Program

Presentation description: Did you know that in 2020, CSAM members incurred 1,185 WCB lost time injuries? Workplace injuries are costly to both workers and employers. Preventing workplaces injuries should always be the first priority. A return to work program is an effective way to reduce the impact of workplace injuries and illnesses. This presentation will focus on the importance of having a proactive return to work program to support workers and minimize the impact the human, social, and financial cost of workplace injuries.
