This session will cover asbestos and other hazardous building materials that may have a significant impact on your construction project. The session will cover different types of assessments, understanding the assessment reports, regulatory requirements and how to safely plan the removal.

Edwin Wooster is a Technical Manager in the Hazardous Materials group at Pinchin Ltd. Edwin holds an Engineering Design and Drafting Technology diploma from Red River College.
Edwin has over 30 years of experience, with more than 20 years in project management of environmental audits and hazardous materials management. Edwin is Pinchin’s Regional Practice Leader for Hazardous Materials for Saskatchewan, Manitoba and North Western Ontario. As a Technical Manager and a Training Specialist out of Pinchin’s Winnipeg Office, he has a wide range of experience providing consulting services throughout Manitoba, as well as Saskatchewan, North Western Ontario, and Nunavut. He provides a variety of training sessions on various subjects including Asbestos, Lead, PCBs, Confined Space, Working at Heights, Spill Response, and WHMIS 2015. Project management experience includes a comprehensive asbestos reassessment project for a national financial institution consisting of over 700 branches across Canada. He has conducted in excess of 500 asbestos surveys and inspection projects and is extremely proficient at the collection of field data for the purpose of hazardous building materials surveys.
